The Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, covering an area of about 25 km² is one of the important bird sanctuaries in India, named after Salim Ali, one of the best known ornithologists in the nation.

Urulanthanni is a forest village in Ernakulam district of Kerala State. The village is a virgin land of beauty, untouched by the pollution, is located near Thattekkadu Bird Sactury. The location is 11 km away from Thattekkadu Bird Sanctury.
How to Reach?
The place, Urulanthanni is about 56km from Aluva and 71km from Ernakulam. A significant resting place on the way would surely be Kothamangalam, with enough good restaurants to have food and beverages.

The main attraction, Pullasserikuth or Pullasseri waterfalls is located near Urulanthanni village and also known as Urulanthanni Waterfalls. The word ‘kuth’ in Malayalam means waterfalls.

Pullasserikuth, Hidden Beauty of Kuttampuzha
Quite beautiful, with greenery all around the way to waterfalls, crossing quite a number of waterbodies. There is no specific path to walk around. Tall green grass covering the existing path, so that it is not easily noticeable.
The water level in the water bodies near the falls always average, except in rainy season. Water level will just a little below the waist of an average person. The waterfall joins the Periar river that reaches the Bhoothathankettu reservoir.
